My trip to Traveler's Health Care Utopia

Everything was going smoothly: I have my passport, found a flight, and are my first two weeks of work. I was ready for the holidays end. At the suggestion of my friend, I decided on a package Meditopia, an island state often called the pearl of the South Seas. The brochure sent to me by the Adventure Travel Meditopia displayed pristine white sand beaches, lush jungle, waterfalls, charming locals, and, strangely, a photo of her brand new hospital. "Our healthCare is free for all ", the caption under the photo read. An avid divers and nature lovers, this obscure people seemed to offer everything.

I connected the number 13 from Bangkok Air flight to and after sixteen hours of driving I arrived in Healthiopolis Airport. Customs was a fairly standard procedure, although it is strange that the official disappointed that I did not seem all existing medical conditions.

As it turned out, I came toHalf of the rainy season. Despite ensure a fast and efficient taxi to the hotel, I was soaked and shivering by the time I reached the reception. I had not before leaving a little rain dampen my spirit, I celebrated the first night of my holiday with a few famous dumplings, a local delicacy. Soon I was dreaming of swimming, hiking, scuba diving and I would.

The next morning I awoke to an intense headaches button, strong sore throat, sweating, and aIf diarrhea like of which I never had before. It 'was terrible, and I was not sure if the rain is wet or that I had the gnocchi I ate the night before was. There was a knock on my door.

"Meditopia Adventure Travel, I'm your guide, have a good day!" a voice called out sparkling.

"Sorry, I'm sick," I sputtered to open the door.

"Lord, you are not good!" a nice pub in search of that lovable.

"Yes, maybe I should stay out of it," I tried to quitDoor, but the leadership does not let me.

"We need you to our brand new hospital, sir"

"No, no, I have insurance," I said, "at least none that would be accepted here.

"Lord, you that here in Meditopia, we pride ourselves on understanding our free health care.
Even Yankee travelers like you access to our state of the art facilities can get. "

I think not, but soon I found myself in an ambulance on the way to the hospital.Wrapped in blankets, entering the clinic, I tried to fish the paper HMO, but very kind nurse waved her away. I waited more than ten minutes two doctors motioned me into a room examination. In my delirium, I continued, wave after my health insurance card, knowing that my plan did not cover for foreign hospitals. Doctors diagnosed an acute food poisoning, mine, and me with a sumptuous room in the hospital and a prescription for freeantibiotics needed. My God, I tried to give personal money each time you visit, but she refused.

I spent my entire vacation recovering in the infirmary, was incredible. There was no paperwork to fill for me. The land of Meditopia was the perfect place to get sick. Refreshed, relaxed, and grateful, top physical condition, I boarded the plane in the hope ill here to get back.
